Aneesh Ummer is a young actress who is active in malayalam short films. She played the character of Seetha in the film ‘Maanasaandrapetta Yezdi’. Aneesha is best known for her Malayalam short film Ente Hridayathinte Vadakku Kizhakke Attathu (translated as: At the North East Corner of My Heart).
Aneesha Ummer hails from Areepra, Perunthalmanna, Malappuram. She was born and brought up near Surat in Gujarat. Her father Ummer is working with the GSTS company at Gujarat as its manager, while her mother Salma is a house wife. Her brother Nizar is working in Bengaluru. After completing B.Com from Bengaluru, Aneesha worked as a flight attendant in IndiGo Airlines.
She started learning dance at a very young age. Her favourite dances are Hiphop and contemporary. Aneesha is a Zumba instructor in Kochi. She represented Gujarat at the school level basketball competition. Aneesh learned acting at the Actlab, Kochi. She was crowned the 1st Runner-up at Miss Navy Queen Pageant 2012.
Aneesha started her career in acting with a kannada short film. She played the role of Anu in the short film ‘The Artist’. Aneesha has already acted in more than 20 short films so far. She portrayed the role of Seetha in the full-length feature ‘Maanasaandarapetta Yezdi’.
Aneesha became popular among the netizens as the girl who fell in love with the priest in the viral short film ‘Ente Hridayathinte Vadakku Kizhakke Attathu’ (At the North East Corner of my Heart), written and directed by Anup Narayanan which portrays the theme of unrequited love.
The short film gained garnered over 36 lakh views on YouTube. The dialogue – Enthinada chakkare nee achan pattathinu poye? (Sweetheart, why did you join priesthood?) spoken by her in the short film took social media by storm.
