Isha Sharvani is a young actress who has acted in hindi and malayalam films. She made her acting debut with the film ‘Kisna:The Warrior Poet’. Her other noted films are ‘Rocky: The Rebel’, ‘God Boy, Bad Boy’, ‘David’, ‘5 Sundarikal’, ‘Iyobinte Pusthakam’ and ‘Double Barrel’.
Isha was born to an Australian musician father & a Gujarati artist mother in Gujarat, India. She has a brother, Tao Issaro. She lived for 13–14 years at Academy for Art Research, Training and Innovation (AARTI), an arts school in Thiruvanathapuram founded by her parents. She began formal learning in dance from her mother. Isha learned Kalaripayattu, Kathak and Chhau dance and performed in twenty-two countries. She is a trained Malkam dancer. Her family is settled in Thiruvananthapuram.
Isha started her acting career playing the female lead in the film ‘Kisna: The Warrior Poet’ directed by Subhash Ghai. She played character roles in films like ‘Darwaza Bandh Rakho’, ‘Rockey: The Rebel’, ‘Good Boy, Bad Boy’, ‘U,Me aur Hum, Lucky by Chance’ and ‘David’. Her tamil debut was Maattraan’. Esha entered the malayalam film industry portraying the role of Esha, a housebreaker in the anthology film ‘5 Sundarikal’.
She also played memorable roles in ‘Iyobinte Pusthkam’ and ‘Double Barrel’. She gave life to a mixed race Anglo-Indian illegitimate child of a British landlord & an ethnic tribal Indian mother in the film ‘Iyobinte Pusthakam’. She was one among the three finalists of Jhalak Dikhla Jaa (Season 5), a dance reality show.
