Drashti Dhami is an actress, model and dancer who is active in hindi television industry. Her noted serials include Dill Mill Gayye, Geet – Hui Sabse Parayi, Madhubala – Ek Ishq Ek Junoon and Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani. She has also appeared in reality shows like ‘Nach Baliye 5’, ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 6’ and Comedy Nights.
Drashti Dhami was born on 10th January 1985 at Mumbai, Maharashtra. She completed her schooling from Mary Immaculate Girl’s High School, Borivali, Mumbai after degree in Sociology from Mithibai College, Mumbai. She has a brother named Jaysheel Shami. Her sister in law, Suhasi Goradia Dhami is also a noted television actress. Drashti is married to Neeraj Khemka, a businessman.
Drashti started her career in modelling with print and television advertisements. She was featured in music video ‘Saiyyan Dil Mein Aana Re’. She later appeared Punjabi music video ‘Nachle Soniye Tu’ and in the remix version of ‘Humko Aaj Kal Hai Intezar’. Drashti made her debut in acting as Dr. Muskaan in ‘Dill Mill Gayee’, a tv serial aired in Star One. She went on acting in the soap operas like ‘Geet – Hui Sabse Parayi’ (Star One), ‘Madhubala – Ek Ishq Ek Junoon’ (Colors TV), ‘Ek tha Raja Ek Thi Rani’ (ZEE TV) and ‘I Don’t Watch TV’ (Web Series).
Much interestingly, Drashti made delivered her dance performance in the tv show ‘Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha’. She was credited as the winner of ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa – Season 6’, a dance reality show. Drashti also hosted the seventh season of ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’. Her popular commercials include Colgate (toothpaste) with Saif Ali Khan, Lion Honey, Pulimoottil Silks, Vasan Eye Care, RKS Grand, Amul and VIP Bags.

Being an excellent actress, Drashti Dhami has won several awards and recognitions. She won the Zee God Awards 2011 for ‘Geet – Hui Sabse Parayi’ as Most Celebrated Jodi (shared with Gurmeet Choudhary). She has also won the Golden Petal Awards, Indian Telly Awards, Star Guild Awards and Zee Rishtey Awards for portraying interesting characters in various serials.
