Parvathi is a versatile person, known as a psychologist, actress, writer and anchor. She started her career in anchoring through ‘Ulkazha’ in Doordarshan. She has acted in a number of films including ‘Time’, ‘Neelathamara’, Apoorvaragam, Pramani, Beware of Dogs and Munnariyippu.
Parvathi was born the daughter of Mr. C V Trivikraman and Mrs. Lalitha at Thirivanathapuram. Her father was the secretary of Vayalar Ramavarma Trust, while mother a gynecologist. Her husband B Satheeshan works in C-DIT. The couple is blessed with a son Ananthakrishnan. Parvathi did her pre – degree in special English at All Saints’ College, Thiruvananthapuram. She completed her Bachelor’s in Pychology from Government College for Women, Thiruvananthapuram.
She completed her master’s and MPhil in psychology from Kerala University’s Kariavattom campus, Thiruvanathapuram. Parvati completed LLB from Kerala Law Academy Law College, Thiruvananthapuram. During her college days, she was an active member of Students Federation of India (SFI) and became an office-bearer. She was the volunteer secretary of NSS, University Union Councillor, Vice Chairperson and Chairperson of the College Union. She was the chapter secretary of Society for Promotion of Indian Classical Music and Culture amongst youth.
Parvathi started her career in television with the programme ‘Ulkazha’ aired in Doordarshan. She later anchored the live programme ‘Suprabhatham’ in Asianet. She worked for almost all channels including Surya and Kairali TV. During her 12 years old career in television, Paravthi has interviewed a number of personalities.
Parvathi made her acting debut in 2007 through the film ‘Time’ directed by Shaji Kailas. With 30 films in credit, her popular films include ‘Neelathamara’, ‘Apoorvaragam’, ‘Pramani’, ‘Palerimankiyam’, ‘Bavoottiyude Namathil’, ‘Netholi Oru Cheriya Meenalla’, ‘Ayalum Njanum Thammil’, ‘Kanyaka Talkies’, ‘Ohm Shanthi Oshana’, ‘100 Degree Celsius’, ‘Beware of Dogs’, ‘Kattum Mazhayum’ and Munnariyippu.
She is also associated with ‘Abhinaya’, a theatre group in Thiruvanathapuram. Parvati has worked with the internationally acclaimed director MG Jyothish for the plays ‘The Lady from the Sea’ (Sagara Kanyaka), ‘The Lesson’ and ‘Bhagavadajjugam’. She has authored a book titled ‘Mayoorasandesham’ and penned lines for ‘Sreeprasadam’ and ‘Megamalhar’. Parvathi was the judge of the popular reality show ‘Veruthe Alla Bharya’.
