Nikhila Vimal is a young actress who is active in malayalam film industry. She made her big screen debut with the film ‘Bhagyadevatha’. Nikhila has acted in ‘Love 24 X 7’, ‘Panjumuttayi’ and few other tamil projects.
Nikhila Vimala was born to Mr. Pavithran and Mrs Kalamandalam Vimaladevi at Kannur, Kerala. Her father is retired from statistical department, while mother is a popular dancer. Her elder sister Akhila Vimal is a research scholar in Theatre Arts at Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi. Having learned Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi, Keralanadanam and monoact, Nikhila made her active presence in youth festivals. He is currently pursuing her degree in Botany at Sir Syed College, Taliparambu.
Nikhila made her acting debut in television with the documentary on Saint Alphonsa aired on Shalom TV. While studying in std 8, Nikhila made her big screen debut with the film ‘Bhagyadevatha’ directed by Sathyan Anthikad. She played Jayaram’s sister in the film.
She stepped into the tamil film industry with ‘Panjumuttayi’. After a sabbatical, Nikhila played the lead lady in Sreebala K Menon’s directorial debut ‘Love 24 X 7’ paired opposite Dileep. She gave life to Kabani Karthika, a simple village belle who turns into a suave TV anchor. She has also done few tamil projects which are ready for release.
